Bare Metal Dedicated Servers
Do you overclock your servers or allow your servers to be overclocked?
No, we do not overclock our servers, nor do we permit overclocking on any of our services. All systems operate within standard performance thresholds suitable for a datacenter environment.
Do you underclock your servers or limit power usage?
No, we do not underclock our servers or impose power usage limits. Unlike other providers who might adjust power and performance to optimize their ratios, we maintain our bare metal dedicated servers at full performance capacity.
What type of management is included with a Bare Metal Dedicated Server?
All Bare Metal Dedicated Servers are self-managed. As a customer, you are fully responsible for managing and maintaining your machine. Our team is available to provide network and hardware support only.
Who is responsible for the data on a Bare Metal Dedicated Server?
Users are responsible for managing their data and establishing a backup routine for their Bare Metal Dedicated Server that meets their needs. We recommend establishing a regular backup external from your Dedicated Server to support data recovery in the event of hardware failure.
Why are backups important to have with a Bare Metal Dedicated Server?
Data loss and data corruption are inescapable threats to every web application and business, whether due to hardware failures, human error, or cyberattacks. Therefore, it is crucial that you develop a backup strategy.
Are hardware failures possible on Bare Metal Dedicated Server?
Yes, while rare, hardware failures can occur on bare metal dedicated servers, but we will immediately replace failed hardware upon request.
Colocation questions
What is Colocation?
Colocation is when individuals or organizations place their own computing hardware (e.g. servers, networking switches) in space rented in a physical data center owned and/or operated by a third party
How do you meter power on my server for Single Server Colocation?
We measure your power usage before your server is racked in our colocation space and confirm the peak usage on boot is covered by the power allocation you have purchased. If your server draws more power than you purchased, we will reach out to you about upgrading before we rack your machine.
Do you offer redundant power and network?
Redundant power and network options are available. Reach out to our sales team to discuss availability and pricing.
